My Story

I struggled to breastfeed my first child and then had no issues breastfeeding my second child.  These two vastly different experiences made me realize that helping new parents to navigate their breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey was my calling. My first step to achieve this goal:  training at Douglas College – New Westminster, BC to become a (DONA) Postpartum Doula in 2003 and the next step: training to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor at Douglas College in 2004.

I completed a second Postpartum Doula training (CAPPA) in 2008 and regularly attend seminars and classes to stay current in my profession. Completed my Doula Canada Certification October 2024.
